Paul Walker documentary to celebrate life and career of Fast and Furious star

I Am Paul Walker, a new documentary about the late Fast and
Furious star Paul Walker, is coming this summer to the Paramount Network streaming platform from Derik Murray.
Murray has released similar retrospectives on celebrities, including I Am Heath LedgerI Am Bruce LeeI Am Evel Knievel, and I Am JFK Jr. He brings a similar lens now to Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013 at the age of 40, while on a break from filming Furious 7.
The documentary, directed by Adrian Buitenhuis, is said to “explore Walker’s prolific film career and showcase a side of Paul few knew — from his passion for the world’s oceans and marine life to helping rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake.” Jon Slusser and Jaimee Kosanke will serve as executive producers.
Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker, launched The Paul Walker Foundation shortly after the actor’s death to keep his passion for the ocean alive. Walker was also involved with supporting earthquake relief for Haiti and had co-hosted events through his non-profit, Reach Out Worldwide.
“Interviews with some of Paul’s most cherished cast mates and friends who knew him best” are to be featured in I Am Paul Walker, though a specific cast list will be announced at a later time.
With the Paramount Network, Murray’s documentary will find a home next to titles like Waco (starring Taylor Kitsch) and the Heathers series adaptation. Murray’s I Am MLK Jr. will premiere on the platform this April 2.
